Full-Time, Salaried | 4 Month Position | Starting September 2019 | Reports to Design Lead
In an always fast-paced and close-knit environment, we each wear many different hats in building a thriving creative studio. You will be working under the mentorship of our design lead to execute on a multitude of marketing/branding projects involving print and packaging design, illustration, photography, and social media. In addition, you will get to see your projects come to life by joining us onsite or producing event assets in studio using our fabrication tools. As a small company, there are many small day-to-day tasks which make a huge difference, and we’ll be relying on you to help us keep the studio running efficiently.
Assist the client services team with the creation of graphic and design elements for print and digital. You’ll also create event assets such as mockups, printed tickets/tags, brand elements, patterns, icons, interactive colouring book pages, and marketing collateral.
Collaborate with our client services team to support client projects and offer design solutions.
Assist with photographing our work and our interactive experiences for marketing purposes.
Assist with digital asset management, including organizing and categorizing our studio’s photographic, video, and digital media.
Assist our events team while on-site at brand launches, parties, and other MakeLab events.
Assist with other studio and facilities tasks as required (Packing for events, tidying studio, errands, making coffee, laundry etc.)
You have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
You have a high attention to detail.
You're an exceptional communicator.
You’re a quick learner.
You have an impressive portfolio of design work, and expertise in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
You have a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings or weekends occasionally.
You don’t mind the small tasks and know they make all the difference in the big picture.

We are always hiring for our part-time events team. We’re looking for folks who’ve worked in a brand ambassador role for at least one year, or has equivalent events or customer service experience. Our events team is a great way to grow a career in marketing, events, or interactive technology, and is a fantastic way to be the first in-line for full-time opportunities at our studio.
